New Delhi is quite modern with government buildings, broad roads, flyovers, malls, big buildings etc. Old Delhi is very traditional with narrow streets, religious places, colorful old style bazaars and ancient monuments. The two cities are in complete contrast to each other.

This tour will take you to the most popular sights of New Delhi, including two UNESCO World Heritage sights. In the half-day tour guests can choose between the following suggested places in New Delhi. Depending on the time you spend at each monument and the traffic, we will cover as many sites as we can.
Humayun's tomb (UNESCO World heritage site) - The architecture of Taj Mahal is said to be inspired by this tomb. This is the first garden-tomb in India is a place of burial of a Mughal Emperor.
Qutub Minar (UNESCO World heritage site) - Victory Tower - built in 1200 AD is among the tallest and most famous brick minaret in the world
Connaught Place (CP) - This is the commercial hub of Delhi and characterizes its metropolitan nature. This is considered to be one of the best representations of British architecture in the city
India Gate (National War Memorial of India) - The most important national monument of India and one of the biggest war memorials. This was built in the memory of 90,000 soldiers who died during world war I.
Rajpath (The Royal Street) - The ceremonial boulevard for the Republic of India; it is a beautiful and historic lane leading to the Presidents House
Presidents House - One of the largest residences of any Head of the State in the world in terms of its size, vastness and its magnificence. Official home of the President of India (outside visit only)

Guru Dwara Bangla Saheb - Sikh place of worship with a grand prayer hall, community kitchen and a sacred pool – one can get a great insight into this religion and the Indian culture
Raj Ghat - Loosely translates as 'Kings Bank' is the burial place of Mahatma Gandhi - Father of the Nation. It is surrounded by a beautiful park with labelled trees planted by notables like Queen Elizabeth II, USA President Eisenhower, Ho Chi Minh and various others
Gandhi Museum - Mr. Gandhi was the architect of India's freedom and one of the greatest men of this century. His life was dedicated to the ideals of truth, non-violence and love
Lotus Temple - Termed by many as the Taj of Modern India, is a Bahá'í house of worship. This temple is built in the shape of a lotus flower and has won numerous architectural awards
Dilli Haat - Frequented both by locals and visitors this is a market with a village atmosphere. Has great variety and exciting blend of handicrafts and food from all over India. It’s a one stop shop for souvenir shopping.
Akshardham Temple - This grand temple holds the Guinness Record of being the Worlds largest comprehensive Hindu temple. It epitomizes 10,000 years of Indian culture in all its breathtaking grandeur, beauty, wisdom and bliss. It brilliantly showcases the essence of India’s ancient architecture, traditions and timeless spiritual messages.
Agrasen ki Baoli -This 14th century baoli (step well) was constructed by Maharja Agrasen. Now completely dry, once the Baoli was filled with black water which would call out to people mysteriously and ask them to scarify their lives. This is hidden in a back lane of Delhi and is a haunted place.
Lodhi Gardens - These are beautiful gardens with some historical tombs built in the fifteenth century. This is also a favorite with morning walkers and yoga enthusiasts. It is also a popular picnic spot for the residents of New Delhi.
JanPath - Earlier known as the Queens way, this is a bustling street market, with lot of vendors selling antiques and in inexpensive clothes, spreads and artificial jewelry
Note: Depending on the time of day, the traffic situation and the amount of time you spend at each monument we would cover the above mentioned recommended places. Please note that the half day Delhi tour is customized and private and the sites will be decided based on your interests.
